SoundJam MP allows you to stream music from your computer to anyone on the Internet. This is accomplished by sending the music to a re-broadcaster which supports Flycast, ShoutCast or IceCast.
Note: Not all re-broadcasters support all of SoundJam’s broadcast options. See the list at the bottom for more details.
Broadcasting requires three steps:
1. Establish an account with a re-broadcaster which supports Flycast, Shoutcast or Icecast.
2. Set up SoundJam by entering the re-broadcaster’s address, port information and password into SoundJam MP’s stream broadcast window.
3. Click the “Start Broadcasting” button.
If you are not sure where to start we recommend you get an account with Live 365 then set up SoundJam with that account information.

Now Playing
This information (Title, Album and Artist) will automatically be filled in by SoundJam and sent to the re-broadcaster. It is up to the re-broadcaster as to whether the information is actually part of the broadcast.
Use the “Configure” button to select the desired bit rate, number of channels and sample rate. If you aren’t sure what to choose just enter the bit rate and close the configure window. SoundJam will evaluate your settings and offer to adjust them as necessary. We encourage you to accept SoundJam’s recommendations.
In order to ensure that users with slow modem connections to the internet can listen to your music we encourage you to keep the bit rate fairly low. Start with 24kbps or 56kbps.
Start Broadcasting/Stop Broadcasting will start or stop broadcasting. Anything you play from SoundJam while broadcasting is turned on will be broadcast over the Internet.
